Phantom Pre Job Checklist
Turn on the air compressor. Inline presure should be set to 90 PSI as shown on the gauge on the right.
2. Turn on the CNC by pushing the "Master" button on the control tower
3. Once the CNC has finished starting up, change the mode to "Ref Point" then hit F7 for "All BackRef". The machine will move to the front left corner and the screen will display target icons next to the axis label once this is completed.
4. Now you can jog the spindle to the location where you will calibrate the Z reference point. Switch to Jog mode, then you can move it using number/axis jog control buttons.
5. Connect the alligator clip to your endmill, and connect the mobile calibration gauge. Once you are in position hit F5 to perform the calibration. It will ask you to confirm the calibration, hit Enter. The Z axis will lower slowly until it taps the button twice, then retract a few millimeters. If you don't have the alligator clip on the endmill it will crash into the button.
6. To load the file hit the Program function button. If you're loading a job from a USB, hit the Program function button one more time to cycle over to USB Files. Use the arrow keys to highlight the desired file, then hit F1 to load to the machine.
7. Make sure there is nothing in the CNC workarea that you don't want to cut. Then change mode to Auto, change function to State, and hit Cycle Start to run your job. The machine will go back to the front left corner then proceed to start running the job automatically. If air starts shooting out of the adjustable tube, hit Coolant to turn it off.
