How to Fill Vessel Candles
Plug in scale and melter, turn melter on and set to 80° C. Gather 8 wine candles or 10 bourbon candles, that is a batch size.
Tare out scale with large pot already on it
Scoop and pour in 4 pounds of wax into large pot, then dump into melter. Stir occasionally. Repeat to get 8 pounds in the melter.
Close lid. Stir occasionally with long spoon to speed up melt. Proceed to step 5 while melting.
Peel double sided wick stickers and use the wick placement template and put stickers in the spaces.
Stick four wicks of the same style on the pre-peeled stickers. Place wick holders to keep wicks vertical.
Once wax is fully melted, measure out 3 oz of fragrance. Pour fragrance in and stir for one minute. Replace top.
Place candle flush against melter. Using pouring spigot, pour wax into candle until its ½” from the top. Repeat for rest of batch.
If candle leaks after pouring, dump it all back in the melter. It’s not a clean process but that’s the only way to save the wax.
Leaving some wax in the bottom is ok, just try to make sure it is below the spigot level and that wax in spigot has been cleared. Close spigot when finished. Turn off melter.
Leave candles to cool overnight on a flat surface.
