How to Stain Platter Feet

Collect sticks from workshop somewhere.  Stain ones that don't have huge knots or other imprefections early american.  Stain all four faces.  If you lay out four or five at a time and wipe the stain on one face at a time you can go through this very quickly.  

Wipe off extra stain.
