How to Touch Up Stain and Oil Wine Stave Platters

Stain the ends of the feet and anywhere there is tear out with early american stain.  Be careful not to get stain on the sides of the staves.

Thoroughly oil the entire platter (top, bottom ends, everything) with mineral oils.  Get oil down into the spaces between the staves by folding up the cloth to get down in there.  Then stack and let them dry.
