How to insert the dowel in cheese tools

Put super glue in the hole of the stave end.
Using the Cheese Tool Dowel Depth Setting Jig, place the dowel in the hole of the stave tip, then place the other end through the hole on the depth setting jig.
Lightly hammer the top of the stave tip to drive the dowel in until the stave bottoms out on the top of the depth setting jig.
There should be ~0.25" of dowel sticking out.

Occasionally check the depth by placing a bolster over the dowel. The bottom of the bolster should sit on the stave and the top should be close to the top of the dowel.
