How to Drill Dowel Hole for Cheese Tools
Time Standard: 0.20 min / unit
Put a 1/2" drill bit in the chuck.
With the drill bit barely above the top of the jig, set the depth stop at 1- 3/4. This ensures the dowel can reach full depth but not go all the way through the dowel.
Then use the cheese knife & wine stopper drill press alignment block to make sure the jig is clamped in the right place on the platform.

Clamp the alignment jig into place as a support for the stave tip.
Clamp the stave tip in so one of the ripped edges faces out and inside of the stave faces the right and drill.
The hole should be centered between the two ripped sides, not necessarily between the inside and outside of the stave.
