How to Route Staves
Batch Size: 70
Time Standard: 20 Minutes
This is what the jig looks like. There are two versions, V1 or V2 which refers to the curvature of the stave. When the staves come over to the router they should have a label that indicates which jig to choose for each batch.
Make sure the slot-cutter bit is set to right height. Place test handle on jig. The groove on the handle should line up with the bit. It is important to check before running each batch, otherwise you will destroy an entire batch.
Place the stave in the jig. Cut side should be DOWN. You can tell because there will be more paint on the top, and none on bottom. Clamp it in place using the toggle clamps
With the router on, guide the jig so the base of the jig rides along the bearing from left to right.
