Drill Pressing Wine Stave S'mores Marshmallow Roasting Sticks

Set the drill press depth gauge to 2" 

Before drill pressing, its worth while to make sure it is the right size, either using the drill gauge or comparing the bit to the roasting insert to be used.  We are currently using 10.5 mm bit, but this could change with each batch of the retractable roasting stick.

After chucking the correct drill bit, adjust the height on the drill press table so the end of the bit is just above the vertical drill press jig.  Then adjust the table position using the drill setup guide. Once everything is right lock the table and clamp down the jig in place.

Put your handle in with inside portion of the stave out, and the tip against the bottom of the jig.  Drill all the way down until you hit the depth stop.  Because of the depth of the hole, you may need to plunge multiple times.  Don't try to go too fast, let the drill do the work.
