How to Flatten Staves

Time Standard: 2 hrs
Select cut off portions of staves cut for serving trays. They should be at least 1.25" wide and not have big cracks, holes, or other imperfections. It is also usually helpful to select staves of similar thickness from front to back, this comes into play when we start clamping them.
Load the steamer like this. Push them in and steam them for at least three hours. Make sure we don't run out of water in the steamer by refilling every hour.
Once they are steamed clamp them up like the process in the video.
