How to Sand Barrel Hoops

Batch Size: 10

Time Standard: ##

Select hoops that are <24" in diameter at the widest part, and remove any remaining nails from the rings. They can be hammered out.  You can then use the hammer to flatten out the hole from the nail.
Set up the surface conditioning tool in the jig with an abrasive sanding drum between 80-120 grit. Turn on the tool at the lowest speed.
Sand the outside of the hoop until it feels smooth. Note that you will have to hold it at a slight angle to account for the angle of the hoop.  They do not need to be shiny, just remove loose rust/dirt.
Sand the inside of the hoops, once again noting the angle of the hoop.
