How to Cut Barrel Half Round Sign Stands

Time Standard: 5 minutes
Select full width cutoffs from 1x10" pine, the less cupped the board the better.
Set Miter Saw to 15° angle to the right.
Cut the end off as pictured. There is a video at the bottom of this guide that shows the whole process.
Rotate new edge you just cut so the long side of the board to 4" mark on the miter saw. The tolerance for being off is pretty high, so just align and cut.
Rotate the new edge you just cut so the short side of the board is at the 2" mark on the miter saw. Again, tolerance is large, so just align and cut. You can probably get anther piece out if you flip the board and align again to the 2" mark. See video below sequence of cuts.
